'Delayed' in the Bible

He commanded them, “You are to say to my lord Esau, ‘This is what your servant Jacob says. I have been staying with Laban and have been delayed until now.

When the people saw that Moses delayed in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said to him, “Come, make us a god who will go before us because this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt—we don’t know what has happened to him!”

And the sun stood stilland the moon stoppeduntil the nation took vengeance on its enemies.Isn’t this written in the Book of Jashar?So the sun stoppedin the middle of the skyand delayed its settingalmost a full day.

Delayed hope makes the heart sick,but fulfilled desire is a tree of life.
