'Filthiness' in the Bible

There is a kind who is pure in his own eyes,Yet is not washed from his filthiness.

“Then set it empty on its coalsSo that it may be hotAnd its bronze may glowAnd its filthiness may be melted in it,Its rust consumed.

“In your filthiness is lewdness.Because I would have cleansed you,Yet you are not clean,You will not be cleansed from your filthiness againUntil I have spent My wrath on you.

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.
