'Habitations' in the Bible
chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom (that is, Esau, the father of the Edomites), according to their habitations in the land of their possession.
Consider the covenant;For the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence.
“Behold, I am against you, O valley dweller,O rocky plain,” declares the Lord,“You men who say, ‘Who will come down against us?Or who will enter into our habitations?’
The Lord has swallowed up; He has not sparedAll the habitations of Jacob.In His wrath He has thrown downThe strongholds of the daughter of Judah;He has brought them down to the ground;He has profaned the kingdom and its princes.
So throughout all their habitations I will stretch out My hand against them and make the land more desolate and waste than the wilderness toward Diblah; thus they will know that I am the Lord.”’”
