'King' in the Bible
There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
and He will be King over the House of Jacob for the Ages, and of His Kingdom there will be no end."
Now in the fifteenth year of the rule of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being ruler of Judaea, and Herod being king of Galilee, his brother Philip king of the country of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias king of Abilene,
But Herod the king, because John had made a protest on account of Herodias, his brother's wife, and other evil things which Herod had done,
Now Herod the king had news of all these things: and he was in doubt, because it was said by some people that John had come back from the dead;
Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
If he can't, he will send a delegation to ask for terms of peace while the other king is still far away.
Therefore He said: “A nobleman traveled to a far country to receive for himself authority to be king and then return.
But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, 'We do not want this man to be king over us!'
“At his return, having received the authority to be king, he summoned those slaves he had given the money to, so he could find out how much they had made in business.
The king told him, "Well done, good servant! Because you have been trustworthy in a very small thing, take charge of ten cities.'
The king told him, "You take charge of five cities.'
The king told him, "I will judge you by your own words, you evil servant! You knew, did you, that I was a hard man, and that I withdraw what I didn't deposit and harvest what I didn't plant?
"So the king told those standing nearby, "Take the coin away from him and give it to the man who has the ten coins.'
But as for these enemies of mine who didn't want me to be their king bring them here and slaughter them in my presence!'"
Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.
And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself.
And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
