'Marries' in the Bible
But I tell you, everyone who divorces his wife, except in a case of sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
And I tell you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”
And He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.
Also, if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”
“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and everyone who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.
So while her husband is living, she will be called an adulterer if she lives with another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from this Law, so that she is not an adulterer if she marries another man.
However, if you do get married, you have not sinned, and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But such people will have trouble in this life, and I am trying to spare you.
So then he who marries his virgin does well, but he who does not marry will do better.
