For seven women will take hold of one man in that day, saying, “We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes, only let us be called by your name; take away our reproach!”

“I will give you the treasures of darknessAnd hidden wealth of secret places,So that you may know that it is I,The Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.

“For the sake of Jacob My servant,And Israel My chosen one,I have also called you by your name;I have given you a title of honorThough you have not known Me.

Our Redeemer, the Lord of hosts is His name,The Holy One of Israel.

“Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are named IsraelAnd who came forth from the loins of Judah,Who swear by the name of the LordAnd invoke the God of Israel,But not in truth nor in righteousness.

“For they call themselves after the holy cityAnd lean on the God of Israel;The Lord of hosts is His name.

“For the sake of My name I delay My wrath,And for My praise I restrain it for you,In order not to cut you off.

“For My own sake, for My own sake, I will act;For how can My name be profaned?And My glory I will not give to another.

“Your descendants would have been like the sand,And your offspring like its grains;Their name would never be cut off or destroyed from My presence.”

Who is among you that fears the Lord,That obeys the voice of His servant,That walks in darkness and has no light?Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.

For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the Lord of hosts is His name).

Now therefore, what do I have here,” declares the Lord, “seeing that My people have been taken away without cause?” Again the Lord declares, “Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.

Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking, ‘Here I am.’”

To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial,And a name better than that of sons and daughters;I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off.

“Also the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord,To minister to Him, and to love the name of the Lord,To be His servants, every one who keeps from profaning the sabbathAnd holds fast My covenant;

So they will fear the name of the Lord from the westAnd His glory from the rising of the sun,For He will come like a rushing streamWhich the wind of the Lord drives.

“Surely the coastlands will wait for Me;And the ships of Tarshish will come first,To bring your sons from afar,Their silver and their gold with them,For the name of the Lord your God,And for the Holy One of Israel because He has glorified you.

The nations will see your righteousness,And all kings your glory;And you will be called by a new nameWhich the mouth of the Lord will designate.

Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses,Who divided the waters before them to make for Himself an everlasting name,

As the cattle which go down into the valley,The Spirit of the Lord gave them rest.So You led Your people,To make for Yourself a glorious name.

We have become like those over whom You have never ruled,Like those who were not called by Your name.

As fire kindles the brushwood, as fire causes water to boil—To make Your name known to Your adversaries,That the nations may tremble at Your presence!

“I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me;I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me.I said, ‘Here am I, here am I,’To a nation which did not call on My name.

“You will leave your name for a curse to My chosen ones,And the Lord God will slay you.But My servants will be called by another name.
