'Offense' in the Bible

So if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an offense; it will not be accepted.

They pledged to put away their wives, and being guilty, they offered a ram of the flock for their offense.

Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but they are evil for the man who eats and gives offense.

giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,

and,“A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed.
