'Prefer' in the Bible

Then he said to her, "When I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and asked him, 'Give me your vineyard for money, or it you prefer, I will give you a vineyard in place of it,' he said, 'I will not give you my vineyard.'"

but in the church I prefer to speak five words with my mind, in order that I may instruct other [people], than ten thousand words in a tongue.

so we are confident and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

But if [it is] to live in the flesh, this [is] fruitful work for me, and which I will prefer [I do] not know.
