'Spirit' in the Bible

“Then a spirit passed by my face;The hair of my flesh bristled up.

“For the arrows of the Almighty are within me,Their poison my spirit drinks;The terrors of God are arrayed against me.

“Therefore I will not restrain my mouth;I will speak in the anguish of my spirit,I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

‘You have granted me life and lovingkindness;And Your care has preserved my spirit.

That you should turn your spirit against GodAnd allow such words to go out of your mouth?

“My spirit is broken, my days are extinguished,The grave is ready for me.

“I listened to the reproof which insults me,And the spirit of my understanding makes me answer.

“To whom have you uttered words?And whose spirit was expressed through you?

“But it is a spirit in man,And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.

“For I am full of words;The spirit within me constrains me.

“The Spirit of God has made me,And the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

“If He should determine to do so,If He should gather to Himself His spirit and His breath,
