'Waiting' in the Bible

And they met Moses and Aaron, [who were] waiting to meet them when they [were] going out from Pharaoh.

See, I [am] waiting at the fords of the wilderness until a word comes from you all to inform me."

{How much less} [when] you say [that] you do not see him, that [the] case [is] {before him}, and you are waiting for him!

I am weary with my calling [out]; my throat is parched. My eyes are exhausted [in my] waiting for my God.

And she saw that she was waiting [in vain]; her hope was destroyed, and she took one from her cubs, [and] she made him a fierce lion.

And Jonah went out from the city and sat [down] east of the city, and he made for himself a shelter there. And he sat under it in the shade, {waiting to see} what would happen with the city.
