'Rumor' in the Bible

While they were still on the road, this rumor came to David: "Absalom has struck down all of the king's sons and none of them has survived."

Now your majesty, don't be concerned about this rumor that all the king's sons have died, because only Amnon is dead."

So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple wasn't going to die. Yet Jesus didn't say to Peter that he wasn't going to die, but, "If it's my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you?"
