'Throngs' in the Bible

Throngs of camels will blanket you: the young camels of Midian and Ephu; all those from Shebu will come. They'll carry gold and frankincense, and proclaim the praise of the LORD.

You pierced with his own spearsThe head of his throngs.They stormed in to scatter us;Their exultation was like thoseWho devour the oppressed in secret.

When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.

Now when Jesus saw a crowd around Him, He gave orders to cast off for the other side of the Sea of Galilee.

When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion and pity for them, because they were dispirited and distressed, like sheep without a shepherd.

Then He left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him saying, “Explain [clearly] to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”

When evening came, the disciples came to Him and said, “This is an isolated place and the hour is already late; send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.”

and large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.

And although they were trying to arrest Him, they feared the people, because they regarded Jesus as a prophet.

Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, “I find no guilt in this Man.”

All the crowds who had gathered for this spectacle, when they saw what had happened, began to return [to their homes], beating their breasts [as a sign of mourning or repentance].
