1 Chronicles 11:12

David's Mighty Men

¹¹ And this is the number of the mighty men whom David had: Jashobeam, a Hachmonite, the chief of the captains. He lifted up his spear against three hundred, who were killed by him at one time. ¹² And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, he was one of the three mighty ones. ¹³ He was with David at Pas-dammim. And there the Philistines were gathered together to battle and a portion of the field was full of barley. And the people fled from before the Philistines.

And over the division of the second month was Dodai the Ahohite, and of his division Mikloth was also the ruler. In his division also were twenty-four thousand.

2 Samuel 23:9

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there to battle; and the men of Israel had gone up;

2 Samuel 23:17-19

And he said, Be it far from me, O Jehovah, that I should do this. Is it not the blood of the men who went in danger of their lives? And he would not drink it. These three mighty men did these things.

2 Samuel 23:23

He was more honorable than the thirty, but he did not attain to the first three. And David set him over his guard.

1 Chronicles 8:4

and Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,

And he said, May my God forbid me to do this thing. Shall I drink the blood of these men who have put their lives in danger? For they brought it with their lives. And he was not willing to drink it. These three mighty ones did these things.

Of the three, he was more honorable than the two for he was their captain. However, he did not attain the first three.
