Ye are the chief

These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations. These lived at Jerusalem.

And they also cast lots along with their brothers, the sons of Aaron, before David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, the head of the fathers, as well as his younger brother.

Sanctify

And the priests and the Levites made themselves pure in order to bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel.

And Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified the people. And they washed their clothes.

And it happened as the priests came out of the holy place, for all the priests present were sanctified, and did not wait by division.

And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them into the east street.

And they killed the Passover on the fourteenth of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed and made themselves pure, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of Jehovah.

And kill the passover lamb, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brothers so that they may do according to the Word of Jehovah by the hand of Moses.

for the priests who are sanctified, of the sons of Zadok, who have kept My charge, who did not go astray when the sons of Israel went astray, as the Levites went astray.

Sanctify them through Your truth. Your Word is truth.

I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.

And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for You were slain and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation.
