And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, with songs and with harps and with psalteries and with timbrels and with cymbals and with trumpets.

And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals to sound, and with other musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.

moreover, four thousand were porters, and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which David had made to praise therewith.

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after the ark had rest.

and said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers among the Levites; sanctify yourselves and your brethren and bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it,

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and also all the Levites that bore the ark and the singers and Chenaniah, the prince of the prophecy of the singers. David also had upon him an ephod of linen.

Moreover David and the captains of the host separated unto the ministry the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of men that were suitable for the work of their respective ministry was,

And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpets sounded; and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.

Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, according to the word of the LORD.

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the LORD, according to the ordinance of David, king of Israel.

Also unto you we cause it to be known, that regarding all of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, and ministers of the house of this God, no one shall be able to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.

Also that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women also and the children rejoiced, so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

For from the time of David and Asaph of old there were princes of the singers, and songs and praise and thanksgiving unto God.

Sing aloud unto God our strength; make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

And singers and players on instruments in her shall say: all my springs are in thee.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

O come, let us bring joy unto the LORD; let us sing with joy unto the rock of our saving health.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD all the earth.

The Word is faithful, If anyone desires the office of a bishop, , he desires a difficult ministry.

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou should correct that which is lacking and set in place elders in every city, as I had commanded thee:
