Then he placed garrisons

in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became David’s subjects and brought tribute. The Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

“After that you will come to the Hill of God

where there are Philistine garrisons. When you arrive at the city, you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place prophesying. They will be preceded by harps, tambourines, flutes, and lyres.

You exalt me above my adversaries;
You rescue me from violent men.

The Lord will protect you from all harm;
He will protect your life.

the One who gives victory to kings,
who frees His servant David
from the deadly sword.
