Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought tribute. Thus the LORD preserved David wherever he went.

After that you shall come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when you are come there to the city, that you shall meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a harp, and a tambourine, and a flute, and a lyre, before them; and they shall prophesy:

He delivers me from my enemies: yea, you lift me up above those that rise up against me: you have delivered me from the violent man.

The LORD shall preserve you from all evil: he shall preserve your soul.

It is he that gives salvation unto kings: who delivers David his servant from the hurtful sword.
