The Census Of David

⁶ But Levi and Benjamin he did not count among them; for the king's word was abominable to Joab. ⁷ And God was displeased on account of this thing, and he smote Israel. ⁸ And David said to God, I have sinned greatly, in that I have done this thing; and now, I beseech thee, put away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

Joshua 7:1

But the children of Israel committed unfaithfulness in that which had been brought under the curse: Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing; and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against the children of Israel.

Joshua 7:5

And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty-six men; and they pursued them from before the gate to Shebarim, and smote them on the descent. Then the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

Joshua 22:16-26

Thus saith the whole assembly of Jehovah: What wickedness is this which ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following Jehovah, in that ye have built yourselves an altar, rebelling this day against Jehovah?

And Jehovah sent a pestilence upon Israel; and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.
