So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold,

the time for you to die is near; call Joshua, and present yourselves at the tent of meeting, that I may commission him.” So Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves at the tent of meeting.

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen.

“And now, behold, I know that all of you, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will no longer see my face.

I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels, to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing in a spirit of partiality.
