1 Chronicles 26:27

They dedicated some of the spoil won in battles to repair the house of the LORD.

But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are holy to the LORD. They shall come into the LORD's treasury."

for they gave that to those who did the work, and repaired therewith the house of the LORD.

Also we made ordinances for ourselves, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God;
