²⁴ And these were the heads of the ancient households of them: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, Jahdiel, men of great power, men of name and heads of the ancient households of them. ²⁵ But when they had transgressed against the God of their fathers and had gone awhoring after the gods of the people of the land, which God destroyed before them, ²⁶ God stirred up the spirit of Pul, king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser, king of Assyria, and carried away the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, Habor, Hara and to the River Gozan, where they remain unto this day.
