Of the Zerahites: Jeuel. The people from Judah numbered six hundred ninety.

Then his brother, who had the scarlet thread on his wrist, came out and he was given the name Zerah.

The families descended from Judah were the family of Shelah, the family of Perez, and the family of Zerah.

Tamar, Judah's daughter-in-law, bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.

The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol and Darda five in all.
