And now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you, either in revelation, or in knowledge, or in prophesying, or in teaching?

Now, concerning the things sacrificed to idols, we know because we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

For, if because of your food your brother is aggrieved, you are no longer walking in accordance with love. Destroy not with your food him for whom Christ died.

But the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and of faith unfeigned;

above all things, having fervent love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;

Even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, if they give no distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
