And this is the tidings which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

For this is the tidings, that ye heard at the beginning, that we should love one another:

Every good gift, and every perfect gift, is from above and cometh down from the father of light, with whom is no variableness, neither is he changed unto darkness.

which only hath immortality, and dwelleth in light that no man can attain, whom never man saw, neither can see: unto whom be honour and rule everlasting. Amen.

{A Psalm of David} The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom then should I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom then shall I be afraid?

For with thee is the well of life; and in thy light shall we see light.

For the LORD God is a light and defense; the LORD will give grace and worship, and no good thing shall he withhold from them that live a godly life.

The Sun shall never be thy day light, and the light of the Moon shall never shine unto thee: but the LORD himself shall be thine everlasting light, and thy God shall be thy glory.

In it was life; And the life was the light of men;

That was a true light, which lighteneth all men that come into the world.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, "I am the light of the world. He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness: but shall have the light of life."

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

Then Jesus said unto them, "Yet a little while is the light with you: walk while ye have light, lest the darkness come on you. He that walketh in the dark, knoweth not whither he goeth.

That which I delivered unto you I received of the Lord. For the Lord Jesus the same night in the which he was betrayed, took bread,

And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to lighten it. For the brightness of God did light it: and the lamb was the light of it.

And there shall be no more night there and they need no candle, neither light of the sun: for the Lord God giveth them light, and they shall reign for evermore.
