Summary

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
even as those who were eyewitnesses from the beginning taught us and thus were ministers of the word,
And said they unto him, Who art thou? Then Jesus said unto them, He that I said unto you also from the beginning.
Now ye Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel when I departed from Macedonia, no congregation communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
And now I beseech thee, lady, (not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning) that we love one another.

Ye also

that which we have seen and heard we declare unto you, that ye also may have communion with us; and truly our communion is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us, in that he has given us of his Spirit.
Jesus answered and said unto him, He who loves me will keep my words, and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him and dwell with him.
As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love.
that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
