¹⁸ There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out all fear, for fear hath painfulness. He therefore that feareth is not perfect in love. ¹⁹ We love him, because he loved us first. ²⁰ If a man say, "I love God," and yet hate his brother, he is a liar. For how can he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, love God whom he hath not seen?
