1 John 5:2

This is how we can be sure that we love the children of God: it is by loving God and obeying his commands.

I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must love one another.

"What I command you to do is to love one another.

but whoever obeys his message really has the love of God in perfection in his heart. This is the way we can be sure that we are in union with him;

and we obtain from him whatever we ask for, because we are obeying his commands and doing the things that please him.

This is the command that we get from him, that whoever loves God must love his brother also.
