And he answering said to them, Because to you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but to them it is not given;

for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your opposers shall not be able to reply to or resist.

Then he opened their understanding to understand the scriptures,

And this is the eternal life, that they should know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who has been made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption;

Because it is the God who spoke that out of darkness light should shine who has shone in our hearts for the shining forth of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him,

in order that ye may be fully able to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height;

He that says he abides in him ought, even as he walked, himself also so to walk.

And we have known and have believed the love which God has to us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

But Jehovah Elohim is truth; he is the living God, and the King of eternity. At his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations cannot abide his indignation.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell in safety; and this is his name whereby he shall be called, Jehovah our Righteousness.

And confessedly the mystery of piety is great. God has been manifested in flesh, has been justified in the Spirit, has appeared to angels, has been preached among the nations, has been believed on in the world, has been received up in glory.

awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

but as to the Son, Thy throne, O God, is to the age of the age, and a sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
