But Micaiah said, "As the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that I will speak."

And Elisha said, "As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, were it not that I have regard for Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would neither look at you nor see you.

But he said, "As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none." And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

And the angel answered him, "I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Dew nor rain

But in truth, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heavens were shut up three years and six months, and a great famine came over all the land,

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth.

They have the power to shut the sky, that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they desire.
