But Jehoshaphat said, “Isn’t there a prophet of the Lord here? Let’s inquire of Yahweh through him.”

One of the servants of the king of Israel answered, “Elisha son of Shaphat, who used to pour water on Elijah’s hands, is here.”

Arriving in Salamis, they proclaimed God’s message in the Jewish synagogues. They also had John as their assistant.

Only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you, for he is useful to me in the ministry.

I wanted to keep him with me, so that in my imprisonment for the gospel he might serve me in your place.
