Solomon's Accomplishments

²³ These were the chief officers who were over Solomon's work: who had charge of the people who carried on the work. ²⁴ As soon as Pharaoh’s daughter came up from the city of David to her house which Solomon had built for her, then he built the Millo. ²⁵ Three times a year Solomon used to offer up burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar that he built to the LORD, making offerings with it before the LORD. So he finished the house.

And David lived in the stronghold and called it the city of David. And David built the city all around from the Millo inward.

1 Kings 7:8

His own house where he was to dwell, in the other court back of the hall, was of like workmanship. Solomon also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken in marriage.

And this was the reason why he lifted up his hand against the king. Solomon built the Millo, and closed up the breach of the city of David his father.

2 Chronicles 32:5

He set to work resolutely and built up all the wall that was broken down and raised towers upon it, and outside it he built another wall, and he strengthened the Millo in the city of David. He also made weapons and shields in abundance.

Solomon made a marriage alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt. He took Pharaoh's daughter and brought her into the city of David until he had finished building his own house and the house of the LORDand the wall around Jerusalem.
