Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
And he said to them, "O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
Isaiah said this because he saw his glory and spoke of him.
To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen:
saying, "The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised."
Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and enter his glory?"
