1 Peter 2:3-8

As Living Stones

4} And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been ^(C)rejected by men, but is ^(b)choice and precious in the sight of God, ^{Tools
5} ^(D)you also, as living stones, ^(c)are being built up as a ^(E)spiritual house for a holy ^(F)priesthood, to ^(G)offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ^{Tools
6} For this is contained in ^(d)Scripture:

“^(H)Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a ^(I)precious corner stone,
And he who believes in ^(e)Him will not be ^(f)disappointed.”

7} ^(J)This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve,

“^(K)The stone which the builders ^(L)rejected,
This became the very corner stone,”

8} and,

“^(M)A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”;
^(N)for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, ^(O)and to this doom they were also appointed.
