The Lord told me, "Tell the king and the queen mother, 'Surrender your thrones, for your glorious crowns will be removed from your heads.

To this day your people have shown no contrition! They have not revered me nor followed the laws and statutes I commanded you and your ancestors.'

Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you.

As an example of suffering and patience, brothers and sisters, take the prophets who spoke in the Lord's name.
