And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

And Lamech took him two wives: the one was called Adah, and the other Zillah.

And when even was come, he took Lea his daughter and brought her to him and he went in unto her.

And Gideon had seventy sons of his body begotten, for he had many wives.

He said unto them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, suffered you to put away your wives: But from the beginning it was not so.

Sarai, Abram's wife, bare him no children. But she had a handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.

When the LORD saw that Lea was despised, he made her fruitful: but Rachel was barren.

And there was a man in Zorah of the kindred of the Danites, named Manoah, whose wife was barren and bare not.

And they had no child, because that Elizabeth was barren; And both were well stricken in age.
