Summary

Let my lord

And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be: and let thy handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thy audience, and hear the words of thy handmaid.

But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

And Satan stood up against Israel, and incited David to number Israel.

Accept

And the LORD smelled a sweet savor; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth: neither will I again smite any more every living animal as I have done.

And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors.

ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

Cursed

These six things doth the LORD hate: yes, seven are an abomination to him:

Accuse not a servant to his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

The inheritance

For the king will hear, to deliver his handmaid from the hand of the man that would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.

I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel: thou seekest to destroy a city and a mother in Israel: why wilt thou swallow up the inheritance of the LORD?
