1 Timothy 1:6

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

which some professing erred concerning the faith. Grace be with you.

who erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and are overthrowing the faith of some.

for already some turned aside after Satan.

he has become puffed up, knowing nothing, but morbid about questions and word-battles, out of which come envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

But the foolish and ignorant questionings reject, knowing that they beget strifes;

For there are many unruly men, vain-talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

But shun foolish questionings, and genealogies, and strife, and contentions about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
