Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people. For who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

And he said to them, I am a hundred and twenty years old this day. I can no more go out and come in. And LORD has said to me, Thou shall not go over this Jordan.

Give thy servant therefore an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to judge this thy great people?

not that we are sufficient of ourselves to reckon anything as from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law, yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Thy hands have made me and fashioned me. Give me understanding that I may learn thy commandments.

so as to incline thine ear to wisdom, and apply thy heart to understanding,

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding.

Wisdom [is] the principal thing. Get wisdom, yea, with all thy getting get understanding.

And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God who gives to all generously and not reproaching, and it will be given to him.
