Jeroboam, Nebat's son, was still in Egypt, where he had fled from King Solomon. When he heard about Rehoboam, he returned from Egypt.

Jeroboam was a capable and responsible man. Solomon saw that he was a good worker and made him overseer of all the work given to the sons of Joseph.

Jeroboam son of Nebat went to Egypt to escape from King Solomon. When he heard this news he returned from Egypt.
