2 Chronicles 19:5

He appointed judges in the country, in each fortified city of Judah.

Appoint judges and officers for your tribes in every city Jehovah your God gives you. They are to judge the people fairly.

Jehoshaphat also appointed some Levites, some priests, and some of the family leaders to serve as judges in Jerusalem.

Let every person be subject to superior authorities. For there is no authority except by God. God allows the authorities to serve in their positions.
