God's Charge To Solomon

¹⁴ if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ¹⁵ Now my eyes shall be open, and my ears attend to the prayer that is made in this place. ¹⁶ For now I have chosen and hallowed this house, that my name may be there forever, and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

2 Chronicles 6:20

that thine eyes may be open toward this house day and night, even toward the place of which thou have said that thou would put thy name there, to hearken to the prayer which thy servant shall pray toward this place.

Deuteronomy 11:12
