God's Charge To Solomon

¹⁶ And finally I have chosen and sanctified this house, that my name be there forever, and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. ¹⁷ And if thou shalt walk before me as David thy father walked, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe mine ordinances and my laws: ¹⁸ then I will establish the seat of thy kingdom, according to the covenant I made with David thy father, saying: thou shalt have ever one or other that shall rule in Israel.

Deuteronomy 4:40

Keep therefore his ordinances, and his commandments which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee and with thy children after thee and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth which the LORD thy God giveth thee forever."

Deuteronomy 28:1-14

If thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, the LORD will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.

1 Kings 2:3

And see that thou keep the appointment of the LORD thy God, that thou walk in his ways and keep his commandments, ordinances, laws and testimonies, even as it is written in the law of Moses: that thou mayest understand all that thou oughtest to do, and all that thou shouldest meddle with.
