He must prepare offerings for sin, grain offerings, burnt offerings, and fellowship offerings to pay compensation for wrongdoing and make peace with Jehovah for the nation of Israel.

Will Jehovah be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give my first-born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for my sin?

It was the feast of the dedication at Jerusalem.
