looking carefully, lest there be any one falling short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness, springing up, trouble you, and through it many be defiled;

I am coming speedily; hold fast that which you have, that no one take your crown.

That we lose

Did ye suffer so many things in vain? if, indeed, it be even in vain.

I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have toiled for you in vain.

that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God, irreproachable in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye appear as luminaries in the world,

nevertheless, whereunto we advanced, by the same rule let us walk.
