The lord

However, the Lord had not said He would blot out the name of Israel under heaven, so He delivered them by the hand of Jeroboam son of Jehoash.

He said, “I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

Then the Lord passed in front of him and proclaimed:

Yahweh—Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth,

So they got rid of the foreign gods among them and worshiped the Lord, and He became weary of Israel’s misery.

However, in Your abundant compassion,
You did not destroy them or abandon them,
for You are a gracious and compassionate God.

But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth.

Therefore the Lord is waiting to show you mercy,
and is rising up to show you compassion,
for the Lord is a just God.
All who wait patiently for Him are happy.

After I have uprooted them, I will once again have compassion on them and return each one to his inheritance and to his land.

Even if He causes suffering,
He will show compassion
according to His abundant, faithful love.

Who is a God like You,
removing iniquity and passing over rebellion
for the remnant of His inheritance?
He does not hold on to His anger forever,
because He delights in faithful love.

Had respect

So God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Listen to Your servant’s prayer and his petition,
Lord my God,
so that You may hear the cry and the prayer
that Your servant prays before You today,

Because of his covenant

I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust of the earth, then your offspring could be counted.

I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you greatly.”

Then He continued, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel—You swore to them by Your very self and declared, ‘I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and will give your offspring all this land that I have promised, and they will inherit it forever.’”

then I will remember My covenant with Jacob. I will also remember My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.

The Lord will indeed vindicate His people
and have compassion on His servants
when He sees that their strength is gone
and no one is left—slave or free.

So now, our God—the great, mighty,
and awe-inspiring God who keeps His gracious covenant—
do not view lightly all the hardships that have afflicted us,
our kings and leaders,
our priests and prophets,
our ancestors and all Your people,
from the days of the Assyrian kings until today.

He remembers His covenant forever,
the promise He ordained
for a thousand generations—

You will show loyalty to Jacob
and faithful love to Abraham,
as You swore to our fathers
from days long ago.

He has helped His servant Israel,
mindful of His mercy,

Neither cast he

Therefore, the Lord was very angry with Israel, and He removed them from His presence. Only the tribe of Judah remained.

Because of the Lord’s anger, it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that He finally banished them from His presence. Then, Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

Do not banish me from Your presence
or take Your Holy Spirit from me.

Then He will also say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels!

These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strength

Presence

And the Lord said, “My Spirit will not remain with mankind forever, because they are corrupt.

Their days will be 120 years.”
