Jerusalem Is Sacked And The Temple Burned

⁸ And in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month, which was the year nineteen of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a slave of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. ⁹ He burned the house of the Lord, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; even every great house he burned with fire. ¹⁰ And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
