When Elisha arrived he went alone into the room. He saw the boy lying dead on the bed.

After this the son of the woman of the house became ill. He was so ill that there was no breath in him.

They were all weeping and morning her. He said: Do not weep for she is not dead, but sleeps.

When Jesus arrived he found Lazarus had been in the grave four days.
