Simeon Peter, a slave and an apostle of Jesus Christ:

To those who have obtained a faith of equal privilege with ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.

They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, and the promises.

For every one of God’s promises is “Yes” in Him. Therefore, the “Amen” is also spoken through Him by us for God’s glory.

Therefore, come out from among them
and be separate, says the Lord;
do not touch any unclean thing,
and I will welcome you.

Therefore, dear friends, since we have such promises, let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, completing our sanctification in the fear of God.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say “and to seeds,” as though referring to many, but referring to one, and to your seed,

who is Christ.

But Jesus has now obtained a superior ministry, and to that degree He is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been legally enacted on better promises.

Therefore, He is the mediator of a new covenant,

so that those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance, because a death has taken place for redemption from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.

But to all who did receive Him,
He gave them the right to be children of God,
to those who believe in His name,

We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at

the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.

you are being renewed in the spirit of your minds;

and have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator.

For they disciplined us for a short time based on what seemed good to them, but He does it for our benefit, so that we can share His holiness.

Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is.
