We have also the more sure word of the prophets, to which ye do well to attend, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, till the day dawn, and the morning-star rise in your hearts:

in the house of his servant David, as He spake by the mouth of his holy prophets from the beginning,

And beginning from Moses, and all the prophets, He explained to them in all the scriptures the things that were spoken concerning Himself.

but thus hath God accomplished those things which He had foretold by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer.

To Him do all the prophets bear witness, that whosoever believeth on Him shall receive the forgiveness of their sins through his name.

And having appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging; to whom he discoursed and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them of the things concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses, and from the prophets, from morning till evening.
