Thy blood

I will require the life of every animal and every man for your life and your blood. I will require the life of each man’s brother for a man’s life.
“If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death. He has cursed his father or mother; his blood is on his own hands.
In this way, innocent blood will not be shed, and you will not become guilty of bloodshed in the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.
If anyone goes out the doors of your house, his blood will be on his own head, and we will be innocent. But if anyone with you in the house should be harmed, his blood will be on our heads.

Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of everyone’s blood,

Mouth

So I stood over him and killed him because I knew that after he had fallen he couldn’t survive. I took the crown that was on his head and the armband that was on his arm, and I’ve brought them here to my lord.”
Your own mouth condemns you, not I;
your own lips testify against you.
you have been trapped by the words of your lips
ensnared by the words of your mouth.
“He told him, ‘I will judge you by what you have said, you evil slave! If you knew I was a tough man, collecting what I didn’t deposit and reaping what I didn’t sow,
Now we know that whatever the law says speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment.
